Getting started ยท keep this page
Seven steps, in order. Each one is something you can check yourself before the next. Print it, or leave it open on your phone.
Ring the RingQuay number we texted you. The receptionist answers as your business and tells you it is an AI in its first sentence. Ask it to book you in for tomorrow; it will check your diary and either book it or take your details for a callback. That call is your baseline: it goes in your workspace like every other.
You keep your own number. On your handset, dial the divert code with your RingQuay number in it: *61*number# for calls you do not answer, *67*number# when you are engaged, *21*number# for every call. These are the standard codes on EE, O2, Vodafone and Three; confirm with your network. Start with unanswered and engaged; divert everything later if you want to.
In your workspace's setup, connect Google or Microsoft 365 with one click, or use the built-in diary. The receptionist books only a slot your calendar confirms is free, and every confirmed booking carries a calendar invite for the caller and an email for you. No calendar connected means it takes a callback instead of promising a time.
Text your RingQuay number from the mobile on your profile. Nothing to install.

Every caller with a booking gets a reminder text the evening before, from your number. At close of business you get one text: calls answered, booked, callbacks waiting. Nothing on a quiet day. Both use the mobile on your business profile in the workspace; check it is right.
If we built your website, the chat assistant is already on it: the same receptionist, in writing, taking the enquiry and sending it to you. If you have your own site, ask us about adding it. Missed-call text-back is on from day one: a call you miss on your own phone gets an instant text back asking for the job.
Your workspace shows every call with what the caller wanted, every booking, and every callback still waiting. Urgent calls are handed to the person you nominated in setup. The go-live page shows the six checks; when all six are green, the line is yours.
Pretend to be human, quote a price you have not approved, confirm a time your calendar has not confirmed, or diagnose a fault. Anything urgent goes to a person. Callers' details are kept only as long as you need them.
