RingQuay is an AI assistant that answers the phone for a business so your call isn't missed. This page explains what it records and what happens next.
The assistant tells you it is an AI at the start of every call. It never claims to be human. It cannot diagnose a fault, give you a binding price or take payment. Where the business has connected a supported calendar, it may check a requested time and confirm an appointment only after the calendar accepts the booking; otherwise it records a callback request. You can ask for a human at any point.
It does not ask for card or bank details, and it is instructed not to collect health or other sensitive information. If you start to give it, the assistant stops and passes you to a human. The RingQuay application does not copy call audio into its own database. The voice supplier processes the call to provide the service; newly provisioned assistants request its basic-attributes-only storage mode. Existing live assistant settings are verified as part of go-live.
We use your details to pass your enquiry to the business so someone can call you back. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests — you called a business expecting a response. Callback records are kept for 30 days and then deleted; the business you called keeps your enquiry under its own policy.
The business you called, and the suppliers who run the service under contract: Twilio (connecting the call and sending SMS notifications), Retell (the voice assistant), Resend (notification email) and Railway (hosting). Some of these operate outside the UK; those transfers are covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses). We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or use it to train RingQuay models.
You can ask for a copy of your details, ask us to correct or delete them, or object to us holding them. Email privacy@digiautomate.com and we'll respond within one month. If you're unhappy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
No decision about you is made automatically — the assistant takes a message, a person decides what to do.
